Savon de Marseille natural soap with Aloe Vera100g

All Le Chatelard 1802 Savon de Marseille soaps are handmade in the Le Chatelard workshop. Auban sur Ouvèze, Provence (France). Thanks to a neutral pH formula that does not dry out the skin, these soaps provide intense hydration and softness. Gently scented with flowers, fruits and other natural ingredients, they lather, nourish, moisturize and perfume the skin.

This 100% natural soap is traditionally made by mixing Mediterranean seawater, olive oil with or without other vegetable oils, and the alkaline chemicals baking soda (sodium carbonate) and solution (sodium hydroxide) in a large pot.

This mixture is then heated with constant stirring for several days. The mixture is allowed to stand until ready, then poured into a mold and allowed to harden slightly. Still soft, cut into strips, pressed and allowed to harden completely. The whole process can take up to a month.
