Coconut oil is cold-pressed from the flesh of the coconut to preserve the nutrients and aroma naturally found in the coconut. Cold-pressed raw coconut oil contains saturated fatty acids, coconut oil is unbleached, unrefined and unpasteurized and does not contain trans fatty acids. Coconut oil is suitable for use as a spread, baking and cooking as an alternative to vegetable oil and butter. It becomes liquid when stored at a temperature of 24°C.
