Palo Santo is a mystical tree that grows on the coast of South America. The wood is associated with frankincense, myrrh and copal. In Spanish, Palo Santo literally means "holy wood". Traditionally, shamans burn wood in spiritual ceremonies for its energetically cleansing and healing properties. It creates a pleasant, fresh-smelling smoke with hints of mint and citrus, which is good at keeping mosquitoes and other flying insects at bay.
