The Natrue certificate is one of the most strictly regulated control mechanisms for natural cosmetics. Products with this certificate contain only minimally processed natural or organic ingredients, and the manufacturer must have established a production process in their factory that has a minimal impact on the environment. One of the conditions for obtaining the certificate is that the product must not contain synthetic dyes, mineral oil derivatives (paraffins, PEG compounds or substances with the words acrylic, propyl, etc.) or silicone oils. Also, the products must not receive any kind of radiation and their effects must not be tested on animals. NaTrue is a non-profit organization, the certificate cannot be purchased, and product control is carried out by NaTrue's independent partners - this makes the certification process transparent and reliable.

BDIH is a certificate issued in Germany by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the manufacturers of pharmaceutical products, health products, food supplements and hygiene products there. Among other things, obtaining the BDIH certificate requires, for example, that during the cultivation and collection of raw materials, nature must not be harmed and that the well-being of endangered species must be preserved in particular. When cultivating plants for natural cosmetics, they must not be genetically modified or affected by chemicals in order to increase the yield. During the production process, when forming the raw material into a finished product, chemically transforming processes must be used as little as possible. Animal testing is prohibited. BDIH also prohibits synthetic fragrances and dyes, silicones, paraffin and other mineral oil derivatives. Preservatives may only be used that are identical to natural substances or are known natural preservatives. Disinfection of both raw materials and finished products with irradiation is also prohibited.

EcoCert is an ecologically clean production certification organization based in France. The entire production process is monitored, from product formulation development and ingredient processing to packaging. The certificate can only be obtained after going through an extremely long procedure: the aim is to confirm that the producer really takes a responsible approach to the well-being of both nature and consumers. The EcoCert certificate means that the product does not contain GMOs (genetically mutated organisms), nanoparticles, silicones, mineral oils, PEGs, parabens, synthetic dyes or fragrances, alcohols with a long carbon chain or components of animal origin (unless it is a natural animal product , such as milk or honey). Packaging must be biodegradable and recyclable.
