Magnesium bisglycinate is an organic form of magnesium bound to an amino acid. This chelated form of the amino acid can also reach the brain where it can have a relaxing effect.

Several minerals often use the same transporters. This means that one mineral can prevent the absorption of another. However, since the body does not consider magnesium bisglycinate as a mineral, but instead as an amino acid, it avoids so-called mineral competition and has exceptionally high bioavailability. In addition to its absorption properties, magnesium bisglycinate is associated with fewer side effects (such as diarrhea) than other oral forms.

Proven effects of this type of magnesium: reduction of stress levels, reduction of restlessness, support of the nervous system and positive effects on memory and concentration.

Use and dosage: Once or twice a day, dissolve 1 teaspoon of the powder in water or fruit juice, or mix it into dairy products. Do not exceed the recommended dose. 1 teaspoon is 2 g, which corresponds to 200 mg of magnesium.
