Cotton Asthiadi Thailam is a special Ayurvedic oil that focuses mainly on relieving pain in the upper body. Its unique composition provides targeted relief, especially for stiff neck, shoulder pain and frozen shoulder syndrome. Thanks to the content of cotton seeds, it deeply nourishes the nerves, which is effective in cases of numbness, tingling in the hands and loss of sensation in the limbs. Regular massage with this oil relieves muscle tension, restores weakened tissues and harmonizes the Vata dosha, which is responsible for pain. It is an invaluable helper not only for ordinary pain, but also as a supportive treatment in rehabilitation after paralysis or other neurological problems.
This unique oil is ideal if:
●You have osteoarthritis (degeneration) and chronic joint stiffness
●You have had a fracture, injury or sprain and need support for healing
●You have osteoporosis or a feeling of weakness and bone loss
●Are you looking for a solution to chronic, dull pain associated with tissue wear and tear?
●Deeply nourish and strengthen the cartilage, ligaments and tendons
Main effects and benefits
●Deeply restores and strengthens: acts as a regenerative tonic that specifically nourishes bone tissue and increases its density (against osteoporosis).
●Accelerates post-traumatic healing: ideal for treating injuries, fractures and sprains.
●Relieves chronic pain: relieves deep, dull aches and chronic stiffness typical of wear and tear.
●Lubricates Vata: deeply lubricates dry joint structures, restoring mobility and flexibility.
Ayurvedic wisdom
The main ingredient, cottonseed (Karpasa Asthi), is valued in Ayurveda for its ability to calm the "Vata dosha", which when imbalanced causes pain, numbness and nerve degeneration. It is considered very nutritious for nervous tissue.
Traditionally, this oil has been prescribed for "Urdhva Jatru Gata Vata", which is a disorder of the upper body - especially stiff neck, frozen shoulder and pain radiating to the arms. It helps restore the flow of energy in blocked pathways.
The recipe also contains black lentils ( masha ) and common lentils ( sida cordifolia ), known in Ayurveda as the most powerful strength-boosting substances ( balya ). They are essential in cases of paralysis or muscle weakness.
Natural principles:
Scientific analyses show that cottonseed oil is rich in linoleic acid, vitamin E and antioxidants. These substances are important for protecting cells from oxidative stress and supporting the regeneration of the myelin sheaths of nerves (important in neuropathies).
The combination of herbal extracts has a strong anti-inflammatory and muscle-relaxing effect. It penetrates the deep muscle layers of the cervical spine, where it releases spasms that put pressure on the nerve roots, thereby mechanically relieving pain.
These ingredients are rich in plant proteins and phytosterols, which stimulate anabolic processes in the muscles. They improve neuromuscular signaling, thereby helping to restore the functionality of the limbs after injuries or paresis (partial paralysis).
Use:
Warm the oil: Warm a small amount of oil in a bowl immersed in hot water to a comfortable temperature. Warm oil penetrates deeper.
Massage: Apply the oil to the affected area (back, joint, muscle) and massage with firm but gentle movements for 10-15 minutes.
Let it work: For maximum effect, it is important to keep the area warm (e.g. with a hot water bottle or blanket) for at least 30 minutes, ideally overnight.
Frequency: Use 1-2 times a day.
Ingredients:
The oil is boiled in traditional sesame oil and goat's milk, which ensures maximum nutrition and penetration into the bone tissue.
Karpasa ( Gossypium Herbaceum ): A key ingredient that has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, relieving stiffness.
Bala ( Sida Cordifolia ): Translated to mean "strength". It is a tonic that strengthens nerves, muscles and bones, fighting weakness.
Goat's Milk ( Caprae Lac ): Nourishes and moisturizes deep into the tissues, carrying healing herbs directly to the bones and muscles.
Kulattha ( Dolichos Biflorus ): A warming herb that helps "break" Kapha blockages and relieves chronic stiffness.
Ginger and Pippali: Promotes blood circulation and helps relieve muscle spasms around the joints.
